Tabitha Rowland-Rouse is a London and Zurich-based Fine Artist and Project Manager whose practice spans printmaking, painting, ceramics, and mini ‘ice’ video installations. She creates distinctive, concept-driven works for both private collectors and commercial clients.
Tabitha earned her Fine Art Diploma from Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London) in 2010 and went on to receive a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Middlesex University (formerly Hornsey College of Art). During her studies, she undertook an exchange at Curtin University in Western Australia, where her work was selected for a print exhibition in Victoria, New South Wales (2014). It was there she developed her first original ice video animation, later showcased as a 32-minute video projection at her graduate exhibition at The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London (2014). Tabitha had a break in her practise due to work in the commercial art world and began delving back into it through her latest exploration in ceramics, producing a series of dipping bowls.
Her practice explores memory as a connective thread, reflecting on the human life cycle and the impermanence of natural elements. Through layered textures and subtle narrative gestures, Tabitha creates works that invite contemplation and evoke a deep sense of time, place, and existence.
Tabitha continues her professional work as a Project Manager and has worked with a range of clients, as well as at some of London’s leading commercial art galleries, The Institute of Contemporary Arts (London) & White Cube (Bermondsey).
Tabitha wishes to pursue her exploration of memory, waves, the ocean and marine science - her other passion.
