Tabitha Rowland-Rouse is an artist and project manager based in London & Switzerland. She creates a diverse range of art for commercial and private clients.
Tabitha’s conceptual artwork focuses on traces of memory - the tie that binds us, as well as natural elements, such as water and clay - when it comes to ceramics. Tabitha began pottery in 2023 and created a series of accidental ‘wave bowls’ and aims to create the most practical butter dishes, as well as other homeware items, such as matcha bowls and dipping bowls.
Tabitha studied her Fine Art Diploma at Central Saint Martins (UCL) in London in 2010, followed by her Fine Art Bachelors Honors degree at Middlesex University (previously Hornsey Art College) where she studied her second year in Perth, Western Australia at Curtin University, later exhibiting a print piece in Victoria (SA) in 2014. This is where she created her first unique ice video animation later debuted at the 2013 final degree show at The Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane (London) - featuring featured a 32 minute video projection.
Tabitha continues her professional work as a Project Manager and has worked with a range of clients, as well as at some of London’s leading commercial art galleries, The Institute of Contemporary Arts (London) & White Cube (Bermondsey).
Tabitha wishes to pursue her exploration of memory, waves, the ocean and marine science - her other passion.
